Meet Vista Hermosa!
Vista Hermosa has partnered with 410 since 2017 and they mainly speak Spanish. Vista Hermosa was once known as “Los Chujes” or a Mayan sauna. In 2005, when the municipality of Cantinil became independent from Chiantla, each community had the opportunity to choose a new name if they’d like. That’s when “Los Chujes” became Vista Hermosa because of their beautiful landscapes. A majority of the community works in masonry, coffee plantations, and vegetable gardening. The people of the community are known to be humble, helpful, and hardworking.
